STACK SEABURN WELCOMES 1 MILLIONTH CUSTOMER THROUGH ITS DOORS!

The innovative social hub, made up of shipping containers, celebrated an impressive milestone this past weekend – almost 2 years since it originally opened its doors in September 2020.

STACK Seaburn, despite opening during the pandemic, has become a huge hit with its mix of street food, lifestyle businesses and daily entertainment. And on Sunday 29 May, the leisure complex proudly announced that it had welcomed 1,000,000 customers through its doors. 

Not one to miss out on a spectacle, the venue were quick to act as they realised their visitor count was reaching that all important number – and made sure to greet their 1 millionth customer with a celebratory arrival.

The momentous moment came at 4pm, as the Moore family from Fulwell made their way through STACK’s main plaza entrance and were gifted with £100 worth of food and drink vouchers to enjoy during their visit.

Kate Old, one of the winning members of the Moore family, couldn’t contain her excitement at being labelled the landmark customer.

“We were shocked when we got pulled to the side and thought we must have done something wrong!

“We visit STACK quite often, in fact the four of us were in for lunch on Saturday too.”

She went on to add that the venue is also the go-to location when looking for an evening out with her partner Mark, and that the win ended their weekend on the perfect high note.

“Both myself and Mark have been for nights out together and with friends as well.”

“Last Sunday we were with our family after a day at the zoo, so it was a perfect end to the day with free drinks and pizza. Thanks again Stack Seaburn!”

Gemma Dishman, Marketing and Special Projects Manager for Danieli Group which owns STACK, spoke of her delight in reaching this milestone.

“This is a tremendous achievement given during the first two years of operation we have been faced with a number of lock downs and restrictions which have limited our capacity, so it was even more important that we celebrate reaching our millionth customer.”

Gemma added that STACK’s customers have always been at the heart of the venue’s operation, with events and initiatives put in place to ensure enjoyable experiences and repeat visits.

“Customers visiting STACK are there to have a good time and we are always looking for ways to surprise and delight them, so it was a pleasure to be able to celebrate this moment with the Moore family and thank them for helping us reach this milestone.

“As we continue to develop and build on our events programme bringing more variety across the week and months we hope it isn’t too long before we reach our next big milestone.”
